As track-out comes to an end and we gear back up to return to 1st grade, it would be great for you to think about the past 3 weeks. If you have a chance, take a minute to type on this page (your login is your name and your password is wiki) or you can hand write your ideas on paper and bring it in to school.
Enjoy your last few days off! I'm excited to see you on Monday! :)
I went to Buffalo during track-out and I stayed with my Grandma and I played with my cousins. My family and I and Grandma went to Toronto to see a baseball game. And I got nachos . My brothers were happy because the Yankees beat the Blue Jays. My family and I saw Niagara Falls. We went on a boat named the Maid of the Mist and saw the falls up close from the bottom and later we went on a giant sky wheel and saw the falls from the top. I had a lot of fun.

Felix LOVED attending Cary Space camp the first week of track-out. I wanted to let other parents know about it because I was hesitant to drive to Middle Creek and was slightly apprehensive. We had a great experience, however, and highly recommend it.
Felix will share more from his perspective, but out of all the fun things we have been doing, I'm very surprised that his favorite part was digging for fossils and shark teeth at the Durham Museum of Life and Science. I can never really predict what will really dazzle my kids, but they spent 4 hours just at that area of the museum, and loved it so much that we went back for a full day this week.
During track-out me and my family went to the mountains to see my grandparents. I went on a long hike and went sliding down a waterfall. I tried to catch fish in a lake, but I caught a leech instead! Eek! I also rode on top of a fire truck and went gem mining. I had lots of fun! -Evan
Ryan went to his Grandparent's in Iowa while his mom worked a basketball camp in Alaska. Ryan had a great time in Iowa doing everything from the Mississippi Valley Fair, swimming, camp, flying helicopters with Uncle Gary, playing cards, reading books and more. Mom had a great time in Alaska but is still trying to recuperate. :)
The last weekend of trackout, we went to the beach. We had not been to any of the NC beaches since moving here last year from Ohio. We had a lot of fun enjoying the surf, sand, pool, great food, and most of all our excursion to Cape Lookout. Dylan liked seeing the wild horses in the marsh areas, Wesley was just happy to be on a boat. The scenery around the coast was very beautiful. Even though the forecast called for rain, it was only overcast with a few sprinkles our first day and then mostly sunny the rest. After our boat ride on Sunday, we went from being the Couch family to the lobster family! haha All-in-all, we had a great mini-vacation. :)
